Weekly Mashups

Two of my favorite mashup artists are back. I'm a big fan of the Jane Doze and when they use some indie rock in the song I can't complain. Born to Feel Beef is chiller than most mashups but Lana Del Rey's vocals go really well with the electro. I have some new Dj D.Veloped for you as well. Solid track, just wish he left out the Black Eyed Peas.

Born to Feel Beef- The Jane Doze

Skrill+Ex-Friends+With+Benefits- Dj D.Veloped

The Pixel Gang

I've got two new tracks for you guys today. The first is the full release of Wolfgang Gartner's new track "There and Back". It's a lot more electro and less heavy than some of his past tracks, which is refreshing. The next track is a new bootleg by my main man Pixel Cheese. I have no idea what he is sampling but it sounds super close to Avicii's track "F*ck School". Still sounds good regardless.

EDX

Swiss DJ and producer EDX has been around the EDM scene since the early 90's. With his release of a new album, 2012 looks to be a big year for the progressive house maestro.

Mat Zo has slowly established his presence in the progressive house genre. With mega hits like "Mozart" and "Rebound", he is set to make big moves with his upcoming 4 track EP. His label Anjunabeats has posted two previews on soundcloud, check them out below.

End of Ze World

Here is a hard electro remix for Michael Wood's "Last Day on Earth". They make sure keep in the awesome progressive synth and vocals, which I am thankful for.

Last Day on Earth (Giddy & Martin Giuffre) - Michael Woods

There and Back Again

Wolfgang posted a preview for his new track on soundcloud today. It should be dropping the end of this month.

Indie Mix

Two more really upbeat remixes of some indie rock for you today. First up is Xaphoon Jones's remix of Colours. I put up the Captains Cut remix of the same song a while back and this one is equally as good if not better. I also found another Captains Cut remix, this time of the radio staple Pumped Up Kicks. Both are worth a listen.

Pumped Up Kicks (Grouplove & Captain Cuts Remix)-Foster the People

Back to Cali

Haven't posted a mashup and I thought this was a good one to start on. I've always been a huge fan of Mother Earth Remixes and this is definitely a solid effort. With Biggie's smooth flow you can really never go wrong.

Maya's Back

Yes ladies and gentlemen. The man who brought us probably the most played dance song of 09-10, "Stereo Love" has come out with a another somewhat good song. Is the song anywhere near as annoyingly catchy as "Stereo Love"? No, not really. It has a way more mellow mood, and trades in the accordion for a guitar.

Back Home (Original Mix) - Edward Maya feat. Violet Light

Don't Stop Me Now

Brand new Afrojack featuring Shermanology. The heavy dutch-house groove he has going on in this track with the layered synths sounds awesome.

Can't Stop Me (Club Mix) - Afrojack Feat. Shermanology

Get Ready

Musical teaser for some new Skrillex songs? I don't know but it sounds pretty amazing. It's not just dubstep if people were wondering. Actually practically no dubstep.

I am super excited.

The Last Ride

Sorry about our weekend absence but here are some songs to start off the week. John Dahlback doesn't come up here often, if ever and I'm sorry because he's pretty sick. To make up for it, here's the Tommy Trash remix to One Last Ride. It's a little slow to start but really good once it gets going. We also tend to not put up much Moombhaton so I'm trying out some today with a Niggas In Paris Moombha remix. Let us know your thoughts.

Tiesto Web Series

Tiesto has produced a ten part web series called "In The Booth" which follows him around the world from show to show. The first episode premiered today and is sort of a teaser of what's to come. The show looks good an I'm looking forward to the next episode. Check it out below if you're interested.

Bolivian Bass

Here is a pretty sick dubstep tune from new electro group The Bolivian Marching Affair. The first 50 seconds of the song is dirty.

Redux (Original Mix) - The Bolivian Marching Affair

Betta

Two solid party jams to kick off Thursday (don't know if that qualifies as the weekend or not). Chuckie's club remix of F U Betta definitely makes the song betta. I posted a a Lazy Rich remix a while back that was pretty sick and this original is even better. It's got the same sound but more of it. Enjoy

Better Wipe That Up (Original Mix)-Lazy Rich

Regenerated

Here's the newly released video for Skrillex's Regeneration effort Breakin' a Sweat. Pretty solid in my lowly opinion.
Also here is the absolutely bangin Zedd's Remix of it. This absolutely needs to be heard.

Intergalactic

Coyote Kisses just posted this on their soundcloud. It's only a preview but it sounds pretty good.

Trio

This tune has Arty written all over it.

Trio (Original Extended Mix) - Arty and Matisse & Sadko

Cthulhu Dreams

It's been awhile since we've heard a new tune from house master Deadmau5. The bass line in the middle is so dirty. The song just sounds so evil.

Cthulhu Dreams - Deadmau5

EDIT:

I had no idea Deadmau5 posted stuff in production on his soundcloud. Their is a ton of unreleased and teaser stuff on there that is sick. I've listened through a lot of it and I'm just hoping he finishes this track.

Ready to Jump

I have two great songs to finish up the weekend for everyone. First up is Dada Life's remix to Who is Ready to Jump. Absolute banger. To follow it up I have a sick track by Congorock called Ivory. I've never heard of them before and can't really compare it to anything but it's a sick song.

Who is Ready to Jump(Dada Life Remix)-Chuckie

Ivory (Original Mix)-Congorock

We Found Something

Mashup monster 3LAU came out with a 3 song EP of different bootlegs to We Found Love. Each one is really different and in my opinion the progressive with Coldplay is the best. The Dinka/Coldplay vocals help take it up to another level.
I'm also going through a phase of trying to find sick remixes to indie songs and today I have one of Lana Del Rey. The Gucci Vump remix of Born to Die is worth a listen for sure.

Love Again

A new collab between NERVO and Avicii just dropped and it's pretty sick. When I first listened to the song I was convinced that I had heard the intro synth progression somewhere else, so I did a little research. Now these two songs don't sound EXACTLY the same, but it does make one wonder...

You're Gonna Love Again - Avicii & Nervo

This electro tune came out this summer. Listen to the main intro synth.

Top Of The World (Original Mix) - Joe Garston

More Florence

Another Florence remix to keep the night going. It's the eSquire progressive mix of You Got the Love. Definitely a must download.

You Got The Love (eSQUIRE vs. OFFBeat Intro Mix)- Florence and the Machine

Paper Diamond

Bringing you two more unusual songs for Straighthits this afternoon. First up is a solid remix of Same Old Song by Paper Diamond. Pretty standard dubstep remix but I like it nonetheless. To follow this I have a sick mashup of Florence and Cudi from R3K. It takes Cudi's Symphonies vocals and mixes in some Florence. So Chill.

Same Old Song (Paper Diamond Remix)- The Weeknd

Falling Star (Kid Cudi vs. Florence and the Machine)-R3K

When The Clock Strikes Midnight

Here is a great previously unreleased remix of M83's "Midnight City" by Eric Prydz. It's exactly what you'd expect from the master of progressive house.

Frack School

Here is Avicii and Nicky Romero's duet that leaked this past week. You've probably already heard it from one of his radio shows or lives sets. The song is pretty standard, best part is around the 3min mark.

F*ck School (Original Mix) - Avicii & Nicky Romero

Hella Amusing

For some reason I found this interview with Bassnectar hella funny. Hopefully you do too.

The Force

Coyote Kisses absolutely crushed this remix. They remixed the Jedi Theme from Star Wars and it sounds incredible. If you're an electro fan you will like it, if you're a Star Wars fan you will love it.

Jedi Theme (Coyote Kisses Remix) - Coyote Kisses

Dear Prof

To start off the day I found a great drumstep/dubstep remix of The Deans List, "Dear Professor", which is a SICK song. The remix adds heavier beats as well as some extra house and dubstep elements. Then we have another new progressive house tune from the masters Maison & Dragen.

Rio De Janeiro (Club Mix) - Maison & Dragen

Devil's Den

Sick remix of Skrillex for my first post of the new year. Sorry it's taken so long but I think it's worth the wait. Redial has made a sick drumstep remix of Devil's Den off the new Bangarang EP. Definitely worth a listen.

Devil's Den (Redial's Drumstep Orgy Remix)-Skrillex & Wolfgang Gartner

2012

Wow. Sorry for the long absence. With winter break/vacation/travel/laziness, the site has not been updated for a long time. Hopefully everyone had a great new year! Here is a great track to start of 2012.

Slam The Door (Original Mix) - Zedd
