HashtagWHAT?

Here we have some more Moombah takes on some old favorites courtesy of Aylen. Hoodie Allen doesn't often show up here but #whitegirlproblems is hilarious and Aylen gives it a solid dancing feel. I also have his remix of Distantt's Infinity.
To wrap it up, DJ D.Veloped has mashed I.D.G.F.A.O.S. and it works pretty damn well I'd say. Enjoy

More Love

So saw Aylen's sick moombah remix of Somebody to Love right before spring break but forgot to post it. Had it on repeat the whole time. Aylen may literally be the only thing to ever come from Jersey that I like. I also rediscovered Porter Robinson's We No Speak Americano remix and thought I'd remind everyone how good it is. Porter Robinson is nuts and as usual the drop is great (skip to :59 for the actual song, starting).

The Last Ride

Sorry about our weekend absence but here are some songs to start off the week. John Dahlback doesn't come up here often, if ever and I'm sorry because he's pretty sick. To make up for it, here's the Tommy Trash remix to One Last Ride. It's a little slow to start but really good once it gets going. We also tend to not put up much Moombhaton so I'm trying out some today with a Niggas In Paris Moombha remix. Let us know your thoughts.

Ready to Jump

I have two great songs to finish up the weekend for everyone. First up is Dada Life's remix to Who is Ready to Jump. Absolute banger. To follow it up I have a sick track by Congorock called Ivory. I've never heard of them before and can't really compare it to anything but it's a sick song.

Ivory (Original Mix)-Congorock

Motown

3 sick remixes of some Motown and funk classics. Superstitious sets itself up perfectly to be remixed and this Moombah remix by Goofee adds to the funk and absolutely kills it. Definitely need to download this.

I follow that up with two really solid remixes of some Motown classics. The Temptations and Ray Charles don't get remixed often but these songs prove that it can be done.

Superstition (Gooffee Remix)-Stevie Wonder

What I'd Say (Bobby C Sound TV Remix)-Ray Charles

Get Ready (TEAM BANZAI Remix)- The Temptations

I feel like Buzzin'

Here are two songs to start off your Tuesday morning. The first is a new Moomba remix tune from the legend Diplo. Lazerdisk Party Sex, yes you read that right, did a great job with this banger. Next we have an electro/house tune from OVERWERK's newest EP. His EP should be available for free from his website sometime this month. If you like this tune make sure to google his name and grab a copy when it comes out.

Scary Moombahton

Finally a good Moombahton remix of "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" courtesy of TMH.

Big Sean Round 2

As much as The Kid doesn't like Moombahton I thought even he should give this one a chance. It's the second day in a row with a Big Sean theme to it. This time D!rty Aud!o comes in with their version of Dance (A$$). Maybe this will give some people a little different feel for Moombahton.

Moombahtwho?

I'm not gonna lie, this isn't really my cup of tea. As an avid fan of electronic music I try my best to keep my eyes and ears open to new music. I would be doing you a disservice if I didn't post a song just because it may not be my favourite.

So. Moombahton.

Most of you are probably thinking, "moombahtwho?", clever right. Moombahton is a new-ish style of dub-esque electro that is breaking through into mainstream electronica. It's signature reggaeton beat and jungle-ish sounds truly set it apart from the rest of the scene. Now, just because I said it wasn't my favorite doesn't mean I don't like it. You may not like it on your first few listens, but give it a chance, I bet it'll grow on you.

Here is a perfect example of Moombahton from a duo who is breaking out big in LA.
